1995 Ferrari motorcycle to be auctioned

Ferrari doesn't make motorcycles. At least, not officially... but that fact hasn't stopped a number of custom cycle makers from taking matters into their own hands. Perhaps the most famous Maranello-inspired two-wheeler was made by Arlen Ness, but that one's not all that practical in conception. We would imagine a Ferrari motorcycle to be a truly sporting machine, equally as comfortable on the race track as the street, or, more realistically, being shown off in one's garage. Ferrari seems to agree, as the only cycle ever created that bears an official Ferrari chassis number -- SF-01M -- has true sporting pretensions.

Built by David Kay Engineering and completed in 1995, this one-and-only Ferrari motorcycle sports a DOHC engine displacing 900cc and putting out 105 horsepower at 8,800rpm. The only styling choice we take exception with are the Testarossa-style strakes on either side, but nothing's perfect, right? So, what's the only officially official Ferrari bike worth? We'll find out for sure when the auction ends on the 20th, but the expected price is between 325,000-375,000 Swiss francs, or around $300K in U.S. dollars.

Car salesman tops 210 mph

In Canada the fight against road racing is reaching new heights, as a video circulating the net shows. Owners of high performance and very expensive cars, such as Ferrari and Lamborghini. The video shows four of these cars racing down the province of Alberta’s highways at speeds of over 200 mph.

lambo

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have received numerous complaints from residents. The video has been produced by Zahir Rana who owns and runs ZR Auto who happen to specialize in selling Ferrari and Lamborghini sports cars. It shows several of these cars doing in excess of 210 mpg as the camera takes in the speedo as well as the road. But later Zahir Rana stated that the video was faked, and that it was just a viral marketing campaign.

The Alberta RCMP did arrest four drivers of high performance cars one of whom just happened to be Zahir Rana of ZR Auto, yet so far there have been no charges made by the police, who say that the case is still under investigation and is not over yet. Because they are not sure whether the video is real or a fake, the outcome of the investigation will no doubt help the police to decide which charges are applicable to this or if no charges should be brought about at all.

One thing is for sure, whether the video is fake or real, its all good for ZR Auto!

Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa: World Record Price

Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa: World Record Price
Ferrari once again claimed the record for the most expensive car ever to be sold at an auction. At the recently concluded Leggenda e Passione event, a lucky and undoubtedly rich fellow paid about $12.2 million dollars for the rare 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa. A truly rare catch as this is one of only 22 ever made, with chassis number 0714TR. This pony isn’t all show however, with its long history of racing. Its first owner, Piero Drogo was a racer. The previous record holder for the most expensive car that went under the hammer was the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder that was sold for almost 11 million dollars.
